    Officially known as the Northwest Pennsylvania Steam Engine and Old Equipment Assn. Inc., our group formed in 1963, around the nostalgia of the steam traction engine, and the threshing process. Our club was built around a single 1911 Case engine, owned by Charles McMurray.  This engine is still a prominent feature, now owned and displayed, by the family of the late Wendell Bintrim. 
              
     In 1975, after exhibiting at the New Castle and Butler fairs, and at the Lancaster Township community center, the club purchased an abandoned strip mine located in Portersville, Pa.  Expansions have increased the show grounds to over 20 acres.

Membership

Membership dues help to cover the cost of club mailings, newsletter printing, and website domain. Paid dues cover the current year only, dues for the current year must be paid on or before May 31st.  Our calendar year runs from January 1st through December 31st.

*Membership does not include show admission.


Junior Membership is $5.00 / year.
(Anyone under 18, whose family are NOT members.)

Individual membership is $10.00 / year.

Family membership is $15.00 / year.
(A family is defined as a Husband, Wife and Children under 18 years of age, living at home.)

Individual Lifetime Membership is $150

In order to vote for club officers at the October election/dinner meeting, members must have attended and registered at four meetings or two work days of at least four hours prior to the voting meeting.  Eligible members must also have a current paid membership, be 18 years of age and over, and have been a member in good standing for at least one year. Candidates and Voters must meet eligibility requirements. (see By Laws below)

Meetings


New members are always welcome. We encourage all members and friends to attend our monthly general meetings. Please join us for food, fellowship, and the latest club happenings.

General meetings:
March starts at 7:00 p.m.
Our first general meeting of the year is held the 3rd Friday in March, at Browns Country Kitchen Restaurant, Route 488 (Downstairs).
April through October start at 7:30 p.m.
held every 3rd Friday at the Portersville show grounds in the kitchen / dinning building.

Directors meetings (at show grounds):
May through October start at 7:00 p.m.
and are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month. 
November through April (December excluded) start at 9:00 a.m. and are held the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Work days


Club workdays will be held the Saturday after all general meetings.  Everyone is welcome to participate.  Members are encouraged to attend whenever possible.



Donations

We appreciate all financial contributions and equipment donations. Equipment donations must be approved by the Directors. Written requests may be given to any board member by letter or e-mail.  Financial donations will be accepted in the form of check or money order, made payable to:
